IDATE, is one of Europe’s leading skills centres, specialising in analysis of the information and communications technologies sectors, and providing the following: an operational consultancy (surveys and expert missions); a world observatory for the communications sectors (multiclient studies, a techno-economic and strategic monitoring system); ); a high-level forum for discussion and debate (IDATE's annual International Conference, publication of the COMMUNICATIONS & STRATEGIES review, the IDATE Foundation, the European research network ENCIP...).

A Vocation: Debate & Analysis

• IDATE’s vocation is to lead a number of original initiatives, a European Forum furthering the debate of ideas and the exchange of experiences between the players in these domains.

• Highly reputed teams of consultants and analysts conduct numerous reports and consultancy missions and participate in the continual investment in a worldwide observatory on the markets and strategies of those players in the Information Technology and Communication sectors.

A European Forum focusing on Europe’s Information and Communication Technologies

IDATE has set in place a platform enabling an exchange between company heads, public policy makers and the academic world:

• The "IDATE Foundation" was set-up with the impetus of driving open and independent reflection, associating the largest businesses involved in the sector. Today, it gathers more than 25 international groups (Telecommunications operators, TV channels, manufacturers, software services, banks and financial organisations, large corporations, …). Every month it brings together leading executives from its business members, in the form of the IDATE Club, along with organising top-flight seminars for its members and supporting the activities of the IDATE Forum such as IDATE’s International Conference or the publication of the DigiWorld Report.

• IDATE’s International Conference has become established as an annual conference serving as a point of reference for those company heads, public policy makers and experts who come together to debate the issues at stake in the future of Information Technology.

• DigiWorld, the annual report published by IDATE, is presented in the form of an atlas on the strategies at play in the digital world.
Supported by the research of IDATE’s analysts and consultants, DigiWorld aims to offer a database and analytical framework to all those who need to understand the developments in Information and Communication technology.
